This life-sized bust is a plaster cast commissioned for an auction held by NEO Roller Derby of Akron, Ohio to benefit breast cancer research. The design was hand-carved and painted to resemble a Celtic warrior breastplate. The threefold knot emblazoned in the center is called a "Triquetra." It is a symbol of healing and a feminine representation of the three stages of the Goddess: Maiden, Mother, and Crone. Model: Jackie Torments. Artists: Joseph Vargo and Christine Filipak
